WESTLAKE LADIES MAKING A DIFFERENCE

WESTLAKE LADIES MAKING A DIFFERENCE

Westlake golf Club- Ladies Section held a Spring Tea fundraiser on Monday 10th October 2022.

Our aim was to enjoy a morning of fun & entertainment as well as raise funds for our caddie and ground staff fund, which is used to purchase educational items for their children so that when they start school at the beginning of next year, they have the school stationery that they require.
Over 100 ladies attended the morning event and listened with great interest to guest author, Dominique Malherbe, talk about her 3rd novel, Searching for Sarah Astrid van Embden, owner of Empress, a soap and body butter business handed out samples and chatted about her products too.

Everyone who attended the morning also received a lovely Skin Republic goodie bag with their products.

Each table was individually and beautifully decorated by the hostesses and quiches, cakes, tea, coffee and bubbly was served to all the guests.

We also held a monetary collection for Project Flamingo as part of our Cancer Awareness Month and handed over the money collected from the Westlake Lady Golfers to Michelle Rennie from ProjectFlamingo, to be used to purchase the items needed for Pamper Packs that are handed out to patients after they have undergone treatment for cancer.

The ladies of Westlake Golf Club are committed to the outreach initiatives that Lynsay Minnaar and her committee run throughout the year.
