The Standard Bank Pro-Am Series has been a major success for up and coming professional female golfers in South Africa along with some amateur ladies who have gained good experience in these pro events.
The brain child of Jenny Havenga from Lifestyle Golf and Barbara Pestana from the WPGA of South Africa, the series gives local talented golfers an opportunity to play tournament golf throughout the year with generous sponsorship from Standard Bank and their partners. This allows them the time they need to practise and work on their games full time.
Barbara has been using the Scorecapture platform for the past two seasons to run her professional events and their Order of Merit and we are delighted to continue the relationship into this next season. Eight events with the addition of a few one-day pro ams will keep the players busy and it is positive to see a few new professional faces in the fields this year.
Scorecapture was initially started to make golf more interesting and fun with the added competitive element that live-scoring brings to each and every tournament we run.
Starting in 2023 we have added the pro-am aspect to our involvement in the Standard Bank Pro-Am Series and are excited to showcase our digital platform to the amateur portion of these incredible events.
With the continued expansion of womens golf in South Africa we hope to continue our relationship with Lifestyle Golf, the WPGA of South Africa and Standard Bank long into the future.
