As an intern at Pebble Beach, I got an opportunity to work as a volunteer for 6 weeks building up to the 1997 Masters (who could forget this year – Tiger’s 1st win).

In simple terms, a shank occurs when the ball hits the hosel, the part of the club where the shaft meets the clubhead.

A weak setup causes a lack of resistance and build up of power causing a weak and inconsistent ball flight.

The first and most important positions I look at when I meet a client for the first time is in their basic setup. Width of stance, position of feet, grip, spine angle and tilt and pelvis position.

I was an instructor at Steenberg Golf Club for over 7 years, became the Head Coach at that site and took a passion on the bio mechanics in golfers swings and wanted to build swings for clients that matched their body type and mobility.
