WWG MAGAZINE ISSUE 6 OUT NOW

Welcome to our second edition for 2023!

I can hardly believe it’s already 5 months into the new year. What a great start to the golfing calendar it has been with so many awesome events  happening around the fairways of South Africa.

The spectacular Investec Ladies Open at Steenberg Golf Club was an unforgettable event and with a South African winning again made it even more rewarding. Congratulations Ashleigh Buhai on a superb win! It’s always exciting to see local talent shine on the global stage.

The social golfing calendar Teed off with some memorable Ladies Open days that will be remembered long after the scores were entered and prize giving completed.

The very exciting Standard Bank Pro-Am series is once again ready for a new season and we are proud to be media partners with the series. The series is sure to be a showcase of world-class golf courses and top notch talent. Be on the lookout for the media release on some new exciting tournaments being launched in the near future that will give the pro lady players even more tour time.

These are very exciting times for We Women Golf Magazine as we have been working hard growing partnerships with top brands and world class Travel Destinations. It is due to collaborations with these partners that support the development and growth of Women’s golf so that We Women Golf Magazine can continue to grow as a media platform giving even more valuable exposure to women’s golf. And together we further the growth of the much loved sport.

Overall, it sounds like it’s going to be a fantastic year for golf in South Africa, and we look forward to seeing what’s in store for the rest of the season.

On our front page is the stunning Pezula Championship Golf Course and one of South Africa’s most loved holiday destinations in the beautiful Knysna area of the Southern Cape. If you have never played there before, then you need to include this amazing golf experience into your bucket list of golf courses, also keep an eye out for some competitions coming up in our social media pages.

In this issue I have also traveled to the Wildest Golf Course in the World – Skukuza Golf Course where lions and other wild animals are often seen on the fairways. But not to worry, it is safe to play ( ask me I experienced it myself in April on my trip there) Also included is the breathtaking Kruger Shalati – Train on the Bridge where I stayed for my golfing experience in Mpumalanga. I was overwhelmed and extremely impressed with the hospitality, the 5 star accommodation and the experience staying there. You just have to do this trip at least once in your life – Go Slow is my new travel motto – so be on the lookout for all Go Slow promotions, Travels and Tours for 2023 with We Women Golf&Travel.

HAPPY GOLFING TRAVELS,

Charlene
