As part of the GJG family we are excited to host the first Boland GJG tournament hosted at Devonvale golf estate.
With age groups under 23 we are expecting from all age groups players as GJG is a global junior golf tournament provider. Global Junior Golf (GJG) has been created to provide Golf Juniors a platform for junior golf tournaments, where the Professional Set Up, Family Atmosphere, Breathtaking Venues, Golf and Players Development and Career are the key values. Juniors can enter a worldwide platform Global Junior Golf (GJG) to compete against the Nations Top Juniors. During the season players can participate at multiple events throughout many countries.
For more than 12 years Global Junior Golf has been running together with their partners international venues. Created in 2010 with the aim of bringing the sport of golf to a wider audience with a demand for professional organized junior golf tournaments.
All our tournaments are WAGR, EGR and JGS ranked. In 2024 there will be more than 40 international tournaments on the Global Junior Golf Tour.

Devonvale golf estate with a picturistic golf course and hotel venue providing accommodation to players and families at a special rate, will be hosting the tournament from 28-31 October 2024. As history is in the making with this tournament being the first of its kind in the Boland after for many years its counterpart is being held in Cape Town at the Rondebosch golf course every year at the beginning of the year. There was conversations started in March of this year to give our junior players another opportunity later in the year to partake at an international golf tournament.
With great partnerships created and the help of Devonvales management and their very fast response we are now able to have this momentous tournament.
During the tournament there will be display of new golf equipment , clothing and with the very friendly pro-shop personal any extra help required will be provided.
Our ladies junior players have already registered for the tournament and make part of a very strong field of national and international players. For instance Anne-Isabel Scheltema the reigning ladies club champ will be one of the ladies junior players taking part. A strong team of ladies junior players are expected and we are looking forward to having some spectators as well joining us for this momentous first Devonvale Boland international junior open.
This event is also a counting event for world amateur rankings. As part of the tournament there will also be developing players taking part where they are sponsored as a group.
